When hundreds of cafes are striving to draw custom with their own specialties, it would be a blessing to find one stop place for any occasion - family dinner, get-together of friends, or as a hangout for couples or youth. This is where Uber Lounge scores.

Uber, inspired by German word meaning above all, is a two-floor arrangement with ground floor dedicated to peaceful dining, while basement has been turned into a discotheque and lounge.

The red ambiance, said to be inspired by international designer Roberto Cavvalli's designs, makes it an ideal place to bring your partner for dinner or lunch and if the music from the basement catches your attention, just step down to enjoy hookah, drinks with good music.

But food is a major attraction here, says chef Preetam. From pastas, pizzas and sandwiches in both vegetarian and non-vegetarian categories, the menu also offers some mouth watering kebabs and tikkas - teen mirch murgh, gol boti angara and galauti kebab to name a few.

Spicey non-vegetarian platter (for Rs. 425), an assortment of murg malai tikka, surkh murg, fish tikka and mutton seekh, is ideal for two people. It is served with beetroot, capsicum and Indian spices like cardamom, red chillies and black pepper spread over it.

If you are a galauti kebab fan, try it out here. Textured with special masala known as "potli masala", said to be a mixture of 100 Indian spices, the spices add a distinct flavour to the mince. Not too spicy, the kebabs, served with small nan made with suji, melts in your mouth. Literally!

Vegetarians must try four cheese pizza, a thin crust pizza (unlike the fat Punjabi Pizza), it is not only crispy but four flavours of cheese, namely Parmesan, cheddar, blue and mozzarella, woo your taste buds and satiate your appetite for Italian food.

From mocktails to cocktails, the bar has some of the finest drinks available. From Johnnie Walker King George V to Chivas Regal 25, the choices are many. Drinks are served throughout the day.

Non-alcoholics can ask for flavoured mojito, berry bash or flamingo.

But before sauntering in, must check out the rules laid down by Ashish Aneja, the owner of the place. Children are not allowed after 8.p.m. and even stag entry is banned after 8 p.m.
