Radio taxi company Uber's Asia Pacific head Eric Alexander will be questioned for the second time Wednesday by Delhi Police, officials said.
Alexander, along with Uber's Delhi and NCR head Gagan Bhatia, was questioned by Delhi Police Tuesday evening also in the wake of a company taxi driver raping a woman passenger in the cab Dec 5.
A Delhi Police official investigating the case told IANS that they have again called Alexander after 2 p.m. Wednesday.
According to the police, Uber officials had Tuesday "admitted" to not installing GPS in the car but only on iPhones provided by them -- which meant that the location of the cab could only be determined till the time the phone was switched on and the driver had internet connectivity.
"Uber officials also admitted they did not conduct independent verification on drivers or invest in background checks," the official said.
The Uber officials are being questioned since one of the company drivers has been accused of raping a 25-year-old finance analyst employed with a Gurgaon-based company in his cab Friday night.
The alleged attacker, Shiv Kumar Yadav, 32, was arrested Sunday evening from Mathura in Uttar Pradesh and was sent by a court to three days' police custody.
