Confederation of African Football (CAF) has disqualified Uganda from the on-going Africa U-20 Cup of Nations qualifiers for using an illegible player.
Darius Mugoye, the Uganda FA acting president, told Xinhua on Friday that CAF ruled in favor of Rwanda which petitioned it regarding what it called Uganda using an over age player.
Last month Uganda eliminated Rwanda from the tournament with a total score of 3-2 and will face Egypt in the next phrase.
The Rwanda FA allege that Uganda fielded four players who were not eligible after the match and CAF found one of them was overage.
Rwanda will now face Egypt in the next round of the qualifiers ahead of the tournament which takes place in Zambia next year.
