'Unbroken' to release in India in January 2015

Hollywood's slate in Indian theatres in the New Year will begin with star Angelina Jolie's directorial "Unbroken". It will release Jan 2, 2015.

The World War II drama will be the first Hollywood release of 2015 in India, read a statement.

Based on the true story of Louis Zamperini, the movie is portrayal of the life and mishaps of the Olympian turned World War II fighter.

The movie, produced and directed by Jolie, stars actors Jack O'Connell, Takamisa Ishihara and Domhnall Gleeson in lead roles.

It is based on Laura Hillenbrand's 2010 non-fiction book "Unbroken: A World War II Story of Survival, Resilience, and Redemption".
