A seven-year-old girl was raped by an unidentified person here who took her to an isolated place on the pretext of giving her text books and a school uniform, police said Wednesday.
The girl was lured by the unidentified person from a slum in Sushant Lok area here.
"A few children were playing in the neighbourhood when a man came on a bicycle and told the girl that school uniforms and text books were being provided to children," police said.
He managed to take the girl to an isolated place in the same area and abandoned her after raping her.
The incident occurred Tuesday evening.
"We are preparing a sketch of the person with the help of victim but she is in trauma," the police added.
A case was registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act at the Sushant Lok police station.
