Uttar Pradesh is moving in the right direction and the speed of economic growth has accelerated with required stimulus to infrastructural development, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said on Thursday.
Addressing a public meeting in Shamshabad town, 30 km from Agra, after inaugurating an edible oil mill, Yadav assured better power supply to both urban and rural areas in the coming days.
He said the promises made at the time of elections were being fulfilled in a phased manner.
The future belongs to the youth, he said, adding that a whole package has been announced to ensure that the youth's dreams got wings.
Health initiatives and the Samajwadi pension scheme had helped lakhs of people in the state, and one lakh housing units under the Lohia Avas Yojna will be built soon, he added.
