The good days or "achche din" of Uttar Pradesh will commence from March 11 at 1 p.m. when the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will form the next government in the state, party President Amit Shah stated here on Friday.
Addressing a press conference here, Shah said the voters of Uttar Pradesh have already decided on the next government in the five phases, and in the remaining two phases, the BJP will garner two-thirds majority.
"After ruling the state for five years, (Chief Minister) Akhilesh Yadav is asking as to when the good days of Uttar Pradesh will come. He may note down the day and time - Uttar Pradesh's achche din will start from March 11 at 1 p.m. when BJP will form the next government," Shah said.
Raking up the Gayatri Prajapati issue, Shah said that it was the most stark example of lawlessness in Uttar Pradesh.
"The Chief Minister is appealing to Gayatri Prajapati to surrender. He is admitting that his police cannot catch him. Is it not the duty of the police to arrest him?" Shah said.
"This is the most blatant example in history of lawlessness in the state," he added.
Prajapati is facing arrest following an FIR lodged against him on the Supreme Court's order for alleged rape.
