A man was having dinner with his daughter sitting on his lap when he was fatally stabbed by a homeless man in a random attack in Southern California.
Anthony Mele was dining at a steakhouse on Wednesday when 49-year-old Jamal Jackson stabbed him in the neck. He died on Thursday but his daughter was not injured, CNN reported.
Jackson was arrested after a group of bystanders chased him to the beach. He has been charged with premeditated first-degree murder.
The motive is unclear, an official said.
