Vasco da Gama struck four second-half goals to beat America Mineiro 4-1 and rise to second in Brazil's Serie A standings.
Rafael Moura gave America the lead at Vasco's Sao Januario stadium on Saturday, netting just after the half-hour mark, reports Xinhua news agency.
Bruno Cosendey, Caio Monteiro, Andres Rios and Kelvin then scored within a scintillating 35 minute period to hand Vasco their second win from three matches.
Vasco trail leaders Flamengo on goal difference while America Mineiro are fifth with two wins and two losses from four matches.
In Saturday's only other match, Diego Souza scored in the 82nd minute as Sao Paulo earned a 2-2 home draw with Atletico Mineiro.
Everton was also on the scoresheet for the hosts while Roger Guedes and Matheus netted for Atletico.
