Following the killing of a 25-year-old man in Salarpur village of Noida, local residents demanding police action on Wednesday morning blocked the main road intersecting the area.
Sajan Bhati, 25, was shot dead by 10 men outside his home on Tuesday evening, his aunt Poonam told IANS.
Family members alleged that a relative killed the businessman over a property feud.
According to Poonam, one of the 10 attackers knocked on the window of Bhati's car and opened fire as he rolled down the window pane.
The two-three km long stretch of the road was blocked by local residents from 8.30 a.m. to 10.30 a.m., leading to a traffic jam.
"Around 200 people blocked the road. They placed barricades which were later removed by the police," a 32-year-old shop keeper said.
The villagers placed the barricades at the two ends of the road despite heavy police deployment.
