Spanish football club Villarreal will be visiting Real Madrid on Wednesday in Week Five of La Liga, with hopes of snatching their first victory at the Santiago Bernabeu, after their failure to win any encounter against the Los Blancos during the last 16 visits.
The Merengues have defeated the Yellow Submarines 12 times and drawn on four occasions, the last of which was on April 20 in La Liga, which ended in a 3-0 victory for Real Madrid, reports Efe.
In the last eight seasons Villarreal have only been able to tie once during a visit to Bernabeu on 2014-15, which ended 1-1, with Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo scoring for Los Blancos, while Gerard Moreno scored for the guests.
All in all, Real Madrid have scored 44 goals in these 16 home games, while Villarreal have scored only 16 goals.
