Villarreal coach Marcelino Garcia has given his players three days off before the preparations to face Eibar on April 3 in a Spanish league clash.
The team went through a double training session on Thursday to start their break before returning to training on Monday night, reports Efe.
Since his arrival at the club, Marcelino had not given much rest to his players.
Villarreal want to maintain fourth place in the La Liga standings with eight games remaining, hoping to get to play in the European competition next season.
Garcia is aiming to reach the Europa League final as Villarreal meet Sparta Prague in the quarter-finals next month.
