Delhi experienced a warm and humid Tuesday with the maximum temperature recorded at 40.3 degrees Celsius, four notches above the season's average while the humidity was at a high of 65 percent. The met department has forecast a partly cloudy Wednesday.
"The skies will be clear in the morning but will turn partly cloudy later in the day," said an official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The maximum and the minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 41 and 29 degrees Celsius, respectively.
The minimum temperature Tuesday settled at 28.6 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average.
Monday was warm with the maximum temperature recorded at 38 degrees Celsius, two notches above the season's average, while the minimum settled at 26.8 degrees Celsius, a notch below.
