Warm morning in Delhi, hot day ahead

It was a warm morning in the capital Saturday with the minimum temperature settling at 24.8 degrees Celsius, a notch below average for the season. The Met Office has forecast a hot day ahead.

"The sky will remain clear and a hot day lies ahead for the city. The maximum temperature is expected to reach about 43 degrees Celsius mark," an India Meteorological Department official said.

Humidity recorded at 8.30 a.m. was 53 percent.

On Friday, the maximum temperature settled three notches above the season's average at 42.2 degrees Celsius, while minimum temperature recorded was 26 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the year.
