Actress Jennifer Lawrence says she often comes across scripts she knows won't find their way to the screen due to the ways of the industry. And that is why she has decided to turn a producer.
In a behind-the-scenes interview during the cover shoot for Vanity Fair magazine, the actress, who will soon be seen in the third part of the hit book adaptation series "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1", opened up about her production plans.
She said: "I really wanted to just produce. Because I remember when I would read these incredible scripts which would never see the light of the day...and then I drive through Westwood and I see some of the crap that is coming out and I am like what is going on in the world. So I wanted to produce.
"And 'The Glass Castle' being my first project was perfect because I was so moved by that book."
Her "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" releases in India Nov 28.
