A 35-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped by three persons on the pretext of job in Odisha's Jajpur district, police said on Sunday.
Three people brought the woman on the pretext of giving a job and gang-raped her on Saturday evening and dumped her near a bypass. The locals rescued the woman and informed police.
Police said the woman, who was estranged from her husband, is a resident of Kuakhia area of Jajpur.
"After getting information, we rescued the woman and brought her here. We have recorded her statement and initiated an investigation," said Korei Police Station Inspector Chinmaye Sahu.
