Rome, May 9 (IANS/AKI) A 61-year-old man was killed on Monday when a slab of marble fell on top of him in the central Italian town of Massa.
He was the third person to be crushed to death in marble quarries in the area in less than a month.
Carlo Morelli was pushing a cart laden with marble slabs when one slid off the cart and crushed him.
Colleagues rushed to his aid and called emergency services but Morelli was pronounced dead soon after he reached hospital.
