"Harry Potter" actor Daniel Radcliffe doesn't intend to play the beloved wizard again but says it would be "very weird" seeing someone else picking up the role.
"Harry Potter and the Cursed Child", a stage production, will debut on London's West End in the summer of 2016. However, Radcliffe will not take on the role of Potter, reports aceshowbiz.com.
"I'm getting asked a lot, 'Would you play him?' and I'm like, 'No.' Because I've done it. But it would be very weird to see someone else play him," Radcliffe said on TV show "Watch What Happens Live".
The eighth instalment in the "Harry Potter" franchise, "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" will focus on Harry's youngest child Albus.
According to the Pottermore Limited, the play will be split into two parts "due to the epic nature of the story." It will feature a cast of 30 actors which will be announced at a later date.
