Wipro to host hackathon for digital aspirants

Wipro Digital is hosting a hackathon on July 11 for digital programming aspirants at its campus here to develop mobile and web-based applications, the company said on Monday.

"The day-long event called 'code the future' is aimed at encouraging developers create innovative apps, which can be integrated with digital solutions used in industry verticals such as e-commerce, healthcare, transportation and logistics."

Open to developers, students of programming and coders, the event will be an opportunity for the company to also evaluate its potential hires.

First three winners will receive tablets, mobile phones, kindles and quadcopters as reward prize.

Wipro Digital works at the intersection of strategy, design and technology to deliver solutions for its customers through teams of designers, data scientists, researchers and engineers.

The event will enable digital programming aspirants to showcase their creativity and design thinking," Wipro Digital vice-president Rajan Kohli said.
