Kashmir chill for separatists

One way to test Indo-Pak relations is to check how Pakistan treats the Kashmiri separatists. Some of these leaders, invited to a recent Iftaar party hosted by Pakistan’s high commissioner in the national capital, found that their hosts were not particularly warm to them. One of them complained that High Commissioner Shahid Malik barely exchanged greetings with them, leaving them to chat with his deputy. Unlike his predecessors, he did not invite them for a cozy talk on the sidelines. Things seem to have changed for the time being.
