After being closed within days of its creation (see Chinese Whispers "Modified Plans", July 18), narendramodiplans.com is back in the same cheeky format. "For a detailed explanation of how Mr Narendra Modi plans to run our nation if elected as Prime Minister, Click on the below link (sic)", it says and then the prompt "Get Details" mischievously eludes the mouse. The only difference is that Modi here is shown in western wear rather than his trademark churidar kurta. A line of explanation runs, "There used to be a site on this domain which came under controversy and was deleted. We found this domain orphaned and thought that ideas must not die out of fear. We have no idea what was on the site before, except that it pissed off a lot of people. We are not averse to adding any ideas you have here. Shoot them off to info@narendramodiplans.com. We don't mind offending a few." There are two Twitter handles: @gounder and @vidyut, but the interesting thing is that the site also solicited ads "to fund our coffee" and actually got a couple of ads - which mysteriously vanished the next day.
