What is the connection between Lok Pal and Telangana? None. But a senior government official draws attention to the fact that just as the Telangana issue has gained momentum because every political party said one thing in public (for a separate state) but another thing in private (for united Andhra Pradesh), so also in the case of the idea of a Lok Pal, every major political party thinks it is a bad idea, in private, but says it is committed to it, in public. Imagine what would happen to both issues if all political parties spoke the truth!
