35 for AAP and 29 for BJP in Delhi, predicts ABP-Nielsen survey

The ABP News Nielsen survey has predicted that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will emerge as the single largest party in the Delhi assembly polls scheduled for February7, falling a seat short of the majority mark of 36 seats in the 70 member assembly. The survey also said Kejriwal seems to be the most preferred candidate for the position of Chief Minister of Delhi with 48 per cent, followed by Kiran Bedi of BJP with 42 per cent. AAP maintains its stronger hold over economically weaker, weaker sections and muslims.

The opinion poll was conducted with 6,396 respondents in 35 constituencies by ABP News-Nielsen from January 25 to January 31, 2015. Voting is will take place on February 7, and the counting on February 10. The 2013 assembly polls had produced a hung assembly with BJP as the single largest party. In the Lok Sabha elections, BJP had won all the seven seats with a vote share of above 45 per cent.
