While most of the 19 ministers were allotted multiple subjects or subjects clubbed together as a single portfolio since the upper limit on the Cabinet strength has come down in proportion to the number of MLAs in the residual Andhra Pradesh, chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu left six slots vacant for future expansion.

Two deputy chief ministers, KE Krishna Murthy and N Chinarajappa, were given revenue and home portfolios respectively while Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, a senior most minister, got finance, commercial taxes and legislative affairs.
Interestingly, most members in Naidu's Cabinet are first time ministers.
Meanwhile, BJP members Kamineni Srinivas and P Manikyala Rao were given health and medical education and endowments department respectively.
