Blaming Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal for running away from responsibility, RJD chief Lalu Prasad today said he had resigned as chief minister of Delhi as he could not meet the tall promises made to the people.

"Kejriwal knows he cannot fulfill the tall promises made by him so running away from responsibility," the RJD chief tweeted.

"Janlokpal bill is an excuse to quit. It's easy for him to abuse from outside, but too difficult to resolve in the capacity of CM," Prasad said on the micro-blogging site.

He also questioned whether Kejriwal had sought opinion of the people before quitting.

Kejriwal resigned yesterday over opposition to introduce the Janlokpal bill in Delhi Assembly.
