West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Tuesday flayed the decision to put indelible ink on the people withdrawing money from banks and said it showed that this govt "distrusts" the common people.

"Desperate attempt to start a 'black mechanism' with indelible ink shows this govt distrusts the common people," she said in a tweet.

The Trinamool Congress supremo further said, "there are by-elections on Nov 19. What will the EC say about this decision to put indelible on prospective voters?"
