Maneka Gandhi says BJP should give son Varun more responsibility in the party

In the wake of the Assembly by-polls' loss for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Uttar Pradesh (UP), Union minister Maneka Gandhi on Wednesday suggested her son Varun be given more responsibility in the party.

New party president Amit Shah, while reconstituting his team, dropped Varun as one of BJP's vice-presidents. Varun is a member of Parliament from Sultanpur in UP. His mother represents Aonla (UP) in Parliament.
