Taking exception to TMC disrupting the proceedings in the Lok Sabha over Rail budget, Parliamentary Affairs Minister M Venkaiah Naidu today appealed to all political parties to maintain decency and decorum in the House.

"I appeal to all political parties to maintain decency and decorum in the House. You have the right to protest, but MPs should not deprive their fellow parliamentarians of the opportunity to express their views about their regions," Naidu told reporters outside Parliament House.

Terming "unfair" the attempt by TMC to target Prime Minister Narendra Modi over Rail Budget, he said that several railway projects are being executed in West Bengal.

"It is unfair to target the Prime Minister....There are many railway projects that are being executed in West Bengal," Naidu said underlining that the Government is ready to discuss issues including price rise.

Naidu also flayed Opposition Congress over stamping the name board of Railway Minister D V Sadananda Gowda outside his residence yesterday during a protest against Rail Budget.

Angry protests by Trinamool Congress over the Rail budget disrupted the proceedings in Lok Sabha for the second day and spread to Rajya Sabha today, with Parliament failing to transact business in the Question Hour.

Carrying placards, TMC members led by Kalyan Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee trooped in the Well shouting slogans as soon as Lok Sabha assembled for the day demanding "justice" for West Bengal in the Rail budget and condemning alleged attack on a woman party MP yesterday.
