Commenting on Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) prime ministerial aspirant Narendra Modi's rally in Kanpur today, Janata Dal United (JD-U) leader Ali Anwar on Saturday said that the nation fully understands their intentions.
"Since it is a political party it will conduct rallies. Guru (Modi) and disciple (Amit Shah) are both there. I am sure the nation understands their intentions. Modi has sent Amit Shah with money and power to Uttar Pradesh," he said.
Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Naresh Agarwal said that the entire country is interested in Unnao's gold excavation, and no one is bothered about Narendra Modi's rally.
This is Modi's first address in Kanpur after being picked as his party's prime ministerial candidate.
He is expected to arrive by helicopter at around 1 pm after a brief stopover at Lucknow's Amausi Airport.
