The Trinamool Congress today dismissed speculation of any internal feud fuelled by a minister's resignation and an MP's grouse about lack of space in the party, saying those who want to leave are free to do so. Trinamool Congress secretary-general Partha Chatterjee said that suggestions of dissent and intra-party feud are all creations of the media.

"There is no internal feud in the party. It is a creation of the media, who are reporting in a biased manner. The good work of the government is not being projected, only negative reporting is being done," Chatterjee said while talking to reporters.

Asked about Birbhum TMC MP Anupam Hazra's complaint of lack of "enough space" to work for the people of his constituency, Chatterjee said, "I have enquired of him what kind of work he wants to do and what kind of difficulties he is facing. Let him give that in writing, we will help him in all possible ways."

Trinamool Congress MP Anupam Hazra yesterday said he was not getting "enough space" to work for the people of his constituency, three days after TMC minister Manjul Krishna Thakur quit the party over its 'whimsical' ways.

Asked about BJP national secretary Siddharth Nath Singh's claim that there are chances of many TMC leaders switching over to the BJP in Amit Shah's rally on January 20, Chatterjee said, "Those who want to leave the party can leave it in Burdwan."
