At the Outdoor Advertising Convention (OAC) 2009, AEGON Religare Life Insurance’s debut campaign K.I.L.B. (Kum Insurance Lene Ki Bimari) was awarded Gold in the category ‘Outdoor Media Plan of the Year’. India’s only annual Convention & Awards forum for the OOH Advertising community was held on 18-19th June 2009, at the Taj Lands End in Bandra, Mumbai.
The Outdoor Media Plan of the Year award honors outdoor advertising campaigns that effectively combine creative, media strategy & planning and execution to deliver to stated objectives of a brand. Each year, an eminent jury panel comprising of seasoned advertising and media professionals judge the entries, making the Outdoor Advertising Awards (OAA) a highly coveted mark of recognition.
This campaign has been duly recognised and awarded for the 2nd time for its advertising effectiveness. The first award was the Bronze ABBY award, at the Goafest 2009, for the Best Integrated Campaign in the Financial Services category.
“As K.I.L.B. was our launch campaign, we wanted to use the outdoor medium to the fullest by optimising our budget of Rs 2.5 crore. The plan consisted of 19 cities across the country. Other than the regular billboards, we used various other mediums such as train wraps, bus wraps, bus shelters, airport trolleys and bus backs. We are happy and proud that our debut campaign has garnered us awards like the OAC and the ABBY.” said Pradeep Pandey, Director - Branding and Communication, AEGON Religare Life Insurance.
