The Boston Consulting Group, India Managing Director, Dr.Janmejaya Sinha was today named the Chairman for Asia region of The Boston Consulting Group. Dr Sinha takes charge on 1st September and will continue to be based in Mumbai. In his new role, he will oversee BCG’s operations in the region which includes mature economies like Japan, Australia, and South Korea besides the crucial emerging markets of China and India. Even while taking on this new role, Dr Sinha will continue to serve clients in India as before.
Speaking on the appointment, Hans- Paul Buerkner, President & CEO, The Boston Consulting Group said, “At BCG, we aspire to be a driver of change for our clients and community. Under Janmejaya’s leadership, we have grown at a scorching pace and created an outstanding team with a reputation for bringing about real change. While Janmejaya will continue to serve clients in India, we hope that the entire region will benefit from his oversight”
Dr Sinha started his career at RBI. He joined BCG after receiving a PhD from Princeton University. He is an expert in banking financial services and has served on numerous committees of RBI and IBA. He currently chairs the CII committee on banking sector reforms.
Dr Arindam Bhattacharya will take over as the Managing Director of BCG India from Dr Janmejaya Sinha. Arindam Bhattacharya has been a part of BCG’s Indian leadership team for past 5 years. He is an expert in industrial goods and automotive sector and has been the co-leader of global advantage practice at BCG. Dr. Bhattacharya who received his PhD from University of Warwick has over 20 years of experience in industry and consulting. He has co-authored the best selling book “Globality”.
