Gayatri Projects Q3FY12 revenue up by 17% to Rs 450 cr

Gayatri Projects Limited (GPL), the Hyderabad-based leading Construction and Infrastructure Company, has reported a hike of 17.11% in revenue amounting to Rs. 449.5 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011 as against Rs 383.79 crore in the corresponding quarter of the last fiscal.

Revenue for the nine months ended on December 31, 2011 was Rs 1172.55 crore, an increase of 16.45 % from Rs 1006.87 crore of the corresponding period in the last financial year.

Net profit for the quarter ended December 31, 2011 was Rs 18.29 crore up by 3.18 % from 17.72 crore of the corresponding period in the last fiscal.

Earnings per share (EPS) increased by 2.21% to Rs. 15.26 for the quarter ended on December 31, 2011 as compared to Rs. 14.93 in corresponding period of the last fiscal year.

Commenting on the financial results, Mr. Sandeep Kumar Reddy, Managing Director, Gayatri Projects Limited said “Gayatri Projects Limited is positioned comfortably in view of the increased spending on infrastructure sector and thrust on private partnership to speed up infrastructure sector. Our expertise in infrastructure sector, sound project management skills and overall a positive outlook for the section in near future, we are hopeful of a better performance in the coming quarters”.
