AC/DC bills of Rs 13,098 crores settled : Modi

Indicating the state government's eagerness to update the gap between the AC and DC bills at the earliest to silence critics, Modi said that the bills of Rs 9815 crore have been settled with the Principal Accountant General since May one.

The DC bills of the remaining AC bills would be submitted in due course, he said.

The opposition parties had been gunning for the state government alleging corruption in the withdrawal of a huge amount from the state exchequer in the name of AC bills, but failed to submit the DC bill and demanded a CBI probe.
