"This collaboration will aim to provide employment- linked, market-oriented vocational training that will enable filling in the gaps the spa and hospitality industry faces, by providing trained resources," the Academy stated in a release.
The Academy's role would be to ensure effective mobilisation, training, certification and finally placement into jobs.
This agreement is within the purview of the Telangana Employment Generation and Marketing Mission (EGMM) which falls under the Department of Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, the release said.
The curriculum is designed and approved by the Government of Telangana.
Based in Hyderabad, O2 Skills was set up in 2013 by Asia's largest day spa chain, O2 Spa, to meet market demands for in-house quality training needs and contribute to the Skill India Mission, the release added.
