The event 'Kurja' was organised by an NGO, All India Welfare Society, yesterday at Birla auditorium here.
"We tried to set a record for shooting selfies by a large group of 1,100 girls at one time. The participants clicked selfies with their friends," General Secretary of the NGO Vikram Singh said today.
"We will now send the clipping of the act to various independent oraganisations for record certification," Singh said and added that event was an attempt to support women empowerment.
