A person died and three were injured when a van in which they were travelling was hit by a speeding car in Uttar Pradesh's Shamli district, police said on Monday.
The incident occurred on the Karnal-Meerut highway near Ahamadgarh village on Sunday evening. The injured were shifted to a hospital in a serious condition. The driver of the car driver was taken into custody, the police said.
In another incident, nine factory employees were injured when a van in which they were travelling was hit by a tractor near Katka village in Jansath area of Muzaffarnagar district on Sunday evening.
The injured have been shifted to a hospital, the police said.
