One person was injured today in an improvised explosive device blast in northwest Pakistan's restive Kurram tribal agency, bordering Afghanistan.
Yasir Hussain was bringing stones from the mountain when his tractor collided with the landmine, resulting in the explosion in the Borki area of Kurram Agency.
The injured was shifted to nearby hospital immediately.
Kurram Agency Political Administration officials said the landmine had been planted by unidentified people.
After the blast, the security forces rushed to the spot and defused another IED by removing a mobile phone attached to it.
The mobile and an Afghan SIM card was seized by the authorities who have started an investigation in the case.
