1 killed in road mishap in Ludhiana

One person was killed and two others were injured when a bus rammed into an auto-rickshaw at Samrala Chowk here today, police said.
The accident took place when the bus driver lost control over the vehicle because of a brake failure and then rammed into an auto coming from the opposite direction, they said.
One occupant of the auto identified as Harban Singh died on the spot.
The injured persons were rushed to local hospital for treatment, police said.
Driver of the bus was arrested, DCP Ludhiana Naveen Singla said.
