The operation was conducted in Dattakhel area close to the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in North Waziristan, a statement issued by issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.
The late night operation came hours after security forces said they killed Haji Ilyas Gul, a wanted terrorist, in an intelligence-based operation in Spin Khawrah area bordered by Bannu and North Waziristan, Geo News reported.
The ISPR said four of Gul's accomplices, who were involved in various terrorist activities, were also killed in the operation. A total of 10 militants were killed in the operation.
