The incident dates back to November 11, 2006 when one Vicky Patil was killed by six persons in Thane while his friend was injured, they said.
The three accused in the case were nabbed by police on the same day, while another three remained absconding, senior inspector Jairaj Ranavare of Thane police crime unit-V (Wagle Estate), told PTI.
Two of the absconding accused, identified as Amar Nadar (39) and Laxman alias Lakshya Vitkar (35), were held from Ravi Steel Naka here on Monday where police had laid a trap based on a tip off.
The SHO said the arrested accused changed their appearances time to time and were underground for past many years to evade arrest.
