Enraged protesters pelted stones at vehicles and a bus carrying a marriage party on Sharda Road yesterday, following provocative photographs uploaded on social networking site 'Facebook' by unknown miscreants.
Passengers, including the bus driver were injured and admitted to a local hospital.
A case was registered by the driver against local councillor Raju Verma and others. Investigations are on and 12 persons have been arrested till now, police said.
The cyber crime cell is working to ascertain the identity of the person who had uploaded the images and forces have been stationed at sensitive areas of the city to maintain peace, they said.
