"Thirteen people were trapped on a hillock after sudden flooding of Satkunda rivulet yesterday, following which a rescue operation was launched by a team of local and Hoshangabad authorities and also by National Disaster Response Force (NDRF)," Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) A P Singh said.
The official also said that a local youth showed exemplary courage in saving the stranded people and would be rewarded for it.
