The accused identified as Sanjay Mandal has been arrested by police.
According to police, the incident took place last evening when the girl was playing outside her residence. Mandal is a security guard with a private school.
"We have arrested Sanjay Mandal, who lived in the girl's neighbourhood. When the girl was playing outside her house, Mandal reached there and took her into his room where he allegedly raped her. After committing the crime, he fled from the spot," Deputy Commissioner of Police (west) Ranvir Singh said.
"Further investigation is on," Singh said.
