A complaint was filed by one Raju Sharma yesterday citing that his daughter has been kidnapped by one Gaurav on May 2.
The girl went to sleep with her family around 10 PM, they said, adding that however, she went missing from her bed late in the night.
The family searched for her all around, but could not find any trace of her, they said.
Later, some locals informed them that she eloped with Gaurav who promised to marry her, they said.
A case of kidnapping was registered with Kotwali police station under section 363 (punishment for kidnapping) and 366A (procuration of minor girl) of the IPC, they said.
