At least 12 women and two minor girls were injured when the ceiling of a house collapsed during a marriage ceremony in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, a police official said.
The incident took place this afternoon at the house of one Mohammad Shafi at Azmabad village in Mandi area, he said.
Shafi's daughter was getting married and mostly the women folk were present inside the house.
"The women who were trapped under the debris were rescued by locals," the official said, adding that seven critically injured people, including two minor girls, were referred to district hospital.
