15 held for illegal sand mining

Fifteen people were arrested in connection with alleged illegal mining and 30 vehicles loaded with sand were seized from different areas here, police said today.
Narrating the details, SSP Preetinder Singh said three persons were arrested from Sector-39, seven from Sector-49 and five from Noida Phase-II areas last night for indulging in illegal mining activity.
He added altogether six cases were lodged in this connection while the further probes are on.
