The victim in her complaint alleged that she had gone to her grandmother's house for some work yesterday, they said.
She claimed that her grandmother was not present but her uncle, who was present there, tried to molest her, they said.
The girl managed to escape and narrated the incident to her mother following which a complaint was lodged, they said.
The accused has been booked under section 354 A (assault with intent to outrage modesty) of the IPC and relevant provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, police officials said.
