"We have arrested families of two brothers for illegal crossing into India and a case has been registered," Rajouri Superintendent of Police Mubassir Latiffe said.
"Both the brothers had crossed to Pakistan side along with their wives and have returned back via Nepal to Rajouri district after several years after their stay in Pakistan," he said.
The SP said "they are not linked to the militancy", adding that the duo have been identified as Abdul Rashid and Fakir Ahmed of Rajouri.
While Rashid returned along with his wife and 9 children, fakir returned along with wife and three children, he said.
