18 boxes of illicit liquor seized, two arrested

Two persons were today arrested from the Sarsava area here for allegedly transporting 18 boxes of illicit liquor, an senior police official said.
"The police had received a tip-off that a car with a BJP flag on it was carrying illicit liquor," Superintendent of Police (Rural) Vidya Sagar Mishra said, adding that a case has been registered in the matter.
The car was coming from Haryana and was stopped at a check post in the area. Eighteen boxes of illicit liquor were seized, he said.
The owner of the car was not available for comments.
